We provide everything from cabinetry, countertops, tile, and flooring to complete design and installation. For homeowners working with their own contractor, we also offer a materials-only option with expert guidance and product support.

I’ve worked in carpentry and residential construction for over thirty years, beginning in 1994 with a remodeling company where I first developed a deep respect for craftsmanship and attention to detail. Over time, I moved into framing homes and eventually became a foreman, overseeing large condominium and multifamily projects.
When the housing market collapsed in 2008, I made the decision not to wait for the phone to ring. Instead, I launched Possley Builders, LLC, focusing on remodeling and cabinetry—work that brought me back to what I enjoyed most: transforming kitchens and bathrooms into spaces that truly serve the people who live in them.
As my passion shifted more toward thoughtful design and custom solutions, I created Horizon Kitchen and Bath. In 2021, we opened our showroom in Chelsea and welcomed Shannon as our designer and showroom manager. Her design expertise and our shared dedication to quality allow me to stay hands-on in the field while ensuring our clients receive a seamless, well-guided experience from start to finish.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my significant other and her family on their farm, getting outdoors to hike or whitewater raft, playing guitar, and hanging out with my English Bulldog, Diesel. These moments away from the job help fuel the creativity and clarity I bring into every project.
Shannon Irey

DESIGNER
I have worked in kitchen and bath design for more than twenty-five years, beginning shortly after earning my degree in Interior Design from Baker College. I started my career designing game rooms and specialty spaces, but quickly found my passion in kitchens and bathrooms—places where thoughtful planning and smart design make a meaningful difference in everyday life.
Over the years, my role expanded from designing cabinetry and countertops to managing full project coordination. Today, I oversee our projects from concept to completion, ensuring our design plans, material selections, and scheduling are aligned and ready for installation. I work closely with our design partners, installers, and suppliers so that each step moves forward smoothly and efficiently.
When working with clients, I believe a well-designed space always begins with a detailed plan. My favorite part of the process is seeing a project transform—from early digital renderings and material samples in the showroom to the final installation walk-through with homeowners who are genuinely excited about their new space.
I’m especially grateful for our Horizon team and the way we communicate and collaborate to keep projects organized and running on schedule. That teamwork is what allows us to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
Outside the showroom, I’m usually at the gym or supporting my daughter’s after-school activities. My family and I also love spending summer weekends up north working on our cabin—which has come a long way over the years from being affectionately referred to as a “glorified tent.”
