I have been working in carpentry for over thirty years, starting in 1994 with a remodeling company. Eventually I went into framing homes and worked my way up to foreman doing large condominium and multifamily projects. When the housing market crashed in 2008, I decided not to wait by the phone and started fully on my own, founding Possley Builders, LLC. I got back into remodeling with a strong skillset in cabinetry, where I crafted my love for kitchen and bath. As I pushed for more custom work, I decided to launch Horizon Kitchen and Bath. I opened our Chelsea showroom in 2021, bringing Shannon on board as designer and showroom manager. This partnership allowed me to be present in both the showroom and field and personally involved on site in all of our installations.
In my off hours, I enjoy spending time with my significant other and her family helping on her farm, hiking, white water rafting, playing with my English Bulldog, Diesel, playing guitar, and many outdoor activities.

Shannon Irey

DESIGNER
I have been in the field of kitchen and bath design for the last twenty-five years. I graduated with a degree in Interior Design from Baker College in 2002, first focusing on game room design, then settling into kitchen and bath. Over the years I grew from simply designing the space with cabinetry and countertops to overseeing entire projects. I now coordinate our projects from start to finish, working with our design partners to make sure all aspects of the project are ready for installation. When working with clients to bring their vision to life, I find that a well-designed space starts with a detailed plan. For me, the most exciting part is seeing the project go from computer renderings and samples in the showroom, to final installation walk through with delighted clients. I am most thankful for our Horizon team and our ability to communicate with one-another to keep projects running smoothly in the field.

When I am not in the showroom, I'm either working out or at my daughter's after school activities. I enjoy summer weekends up north with my family working on our cabin; it has come a long way over the years from being affectionately referred to as a "glorified tent".
